Grayson Thermal Systems supplies off the shelf and bespoke solutions for driver’s cabin heating and air-conditioning in engine drive and auxiliary drive configurations, as well as a wide range of coolers and fluid tanks for the vehicle’s mechanical components.
The unique operating conditions and service requirements of the transit bus and intercity bus markets have driven Grayson’s development of specialist coolers.
The cassette radiator concept started our development of a service friendly cooler for European transit bus operators. Later developments in engine performance and emissions regulations required the development of Grayson’s Cassette 2, Cassette 2 PLUS and Tropical Cooler concepts, pushing performance to higher levels, reducing weight whilst retaining the service-friendly design with compact dimensions.
Products are manufactured using damage-resistant aluminium components, retaining strength whilst remaining light in weight. They have been tested in a variety of environments to ensure the operator benefits from trouble-free operation.
Grayson’s heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems have been developed with European OE bus manufacturers and Thermo King to exceed specific operating requirements. Products are available for a wide range of vehicles from a small van conversion to full-sized, articulated transit / tourist coach applications.
A range of radiator dirt / stone guards and air filtration systems can be installed to Grayson’s off the shelf products to enhance the basic product, this can increase the service life in extreme operating environments and reduce foreign object damage.
