New facility for BTMS production

We have invested in a new dedicated site for development and production of our Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS). It will also house our new cutting-edge service centre – but more about this in the coming weeks.

As demand for our BTMS and other new eMobility products continues to rise with further introductions of electric vehicles, our new production facility will ensure that we can meet capacity requirements and secure development of the products to stay ahead of industry advancements.

We continue to invest in an extensive NPD (New Product Development) programme further strengthening our future position in the market and securing our long term vision for the business and our customers.

Located just a short walk from our HQ in Tyseley, Birmingham, building of the new facility began in the summer for 2017 with GTS expected to be in and settled come April 2018. It is a great achievement that as we celebrate our 40th Birthday, we open our 4th manufacturing facility to support our successful and growing business.

What is our Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS)?

Our Grayson Battery Thermal Management System optimises the temperature of battery modules for all applications of electric vehicles.

The Battery Thermal Management Systems have a heat and cool capability to maintain the battery cell temperature within the specified range. The system, controlled by Grayson Thermal Systems smart controller reacts to the cell temperature. Our BTMS offers cooling during fast charge periods or high ambient territories. Heating following a period of sustained low ambient in cold climates.

GTS have a standard range of rooftop mounted modules and bespoke integrated systems packaged into the vehicle chassis and body.
