GRAYSON INVESTS FOR GROWTH |
September 2009

Grayson Thermal Systems, which is the distributor of Thermo King air conditioning systems to the UK’s bus and coach industry, is making a £4m investment in new premises and equipment to facilitate its ambitious growth plans.
The company, which is also a leading designer and manufacturer of heat exchange technology for buses, coaches, specialist off-highway vehicles and diesel-powered engine industries worldwide, has opened a new flagship facility that houses the company’s head office and an enlarged aluminium manufacturing operation, and also provides space for the imminent expansion of its research and development centre.
The entire company has recently been restructured, giving it two divisions, working under a single senior management team to drive efficiencies and foster close working across the business so that Grayson can develop the best and most cost-effective solutions for individual customers.
Grayson Service is now a distinct operating division, giving it renewed focus on its core business, allowing it to expand and develop into the future. It has retained its specialist service centre at the heart of Britain’s road, rail and air network, on a trading estate adjacent to Birmingham airport.
Grayson Service co-ordinates and manages all work on air conditioning systems, including that being handled by Grayson staff based on OE customer sites, carrying out installation work.
