A NEW DEVELOPMENT IN COOLING SYSTEMS | Autumn 2009
Grayson's Cassette 2 Plus cooling systems
development started in 2005. Following the
huge success of the original cassette radiator
launched in 1997 Grayson wanted to move
the project on a step further.
The brief was clear for the new pack - Grayson
had to provide their Citybus customers with
even faster maintenance and reduce airside
clogging from road dirt.
Grayson believe their latest innovation for
engine cooling in buses is a big attraction for
those bus builders who strive to provide a
technical solution.
- The radiator can be removed in just 20
minutes without the need for lifting or
jacking the vehicle.
- The cooling packs have been specifically
designed and manufactured to enable
operators to remove the radiator, charge air
cooler and hydraulic cooler in just one hour.
- The new pack has been upgraded to
include low external fin density and non
louvered fin to reduce the amount of
particles that can obstruct airflow through
the pack causing overheats.
- Side by Side design which allows airflow
through the radiator, charge air cooler and
hydraulic cooler in equal amounts and also
makes cleaning the surfaces an easier task.
- Durable product which can give long life
in some of the most arduous operating
environments.
- Can be manufactured in copper/brass or
fully brazed all aluminium construction.
- All Grayson cooling products are wind tunnel
tested to validate thermal performance
