Test Engineer
Test Engineer
Job Overview
Responsibilities
- Meeting with the product design team to determine product testing parameters
- Writing test plans and creating test cases for the product
- Conducting quality assurance and designing performance tests using the new testing procedures
- Troubleshooting any errors and streamlining the testing procedures
- Ensuring all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards
- Preparing test reports for Management / Customer Engineer
- Liaison with customer engineering/ design/ quality department to investigate and resolve design issues when required
- Be involved in creating test program for new developments at both system and component level
- Keep up to date with all projects on business NPI tool
Experience
- An engineering degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
- High Voltage Vehicles or High Voltage systems
- Right first time, accurate and in specification
- A high-level skill to demonstrate right-first-time approach
- On time delivery of BTMS, Cabin Heat Pumps and HVAC systems in line with EPO release
- Warranty / Reliability / Quality costs for re work and / or campaigns
- Previous work experience as a Test Technician, showing awareness of functional testing would be advantageous
- Ability to project manage own test programs
- Innovative, good organisational skills, works well in a team
- Good knowledge of understanding drawing and principles
