Overview

The MD2 electric water pump is built for heavy-duty vehicles, stationary power, and demanding thermal systems, combining robust construction with high performance.

A 530W brushless DC motor delivers up to 100 l/min at high flow and pressure, maintaining efficiency at lower speeds and operating in coolant temperatures up to +85°C. Its magnetic drive eliminates mechanical seals to reduce maintenance, while integrated electronics provide voltage and thermal protection. Control options include standalone, PWM, and CAN.

Corrosion-resistant and compatible with multiple coolants, the MD2 can be specified with an anodised head for use with de-ionised water. Its compact design supports flexible mounting, ensuring reliability and uptime in critical applications.

Features

The magnetic drive electric water pump offers features designed for efficient cooling performance, long service life, and straightforward integration into vehicle systems.

  • High-temperature coolant capability (+85°C): Designed to perform reliably in hotter systems and demanding operating conditions.
  • High power output (530W): Maintains strong flow and pressure performance, even under heavy loads or high-resistance systems.
  • Heavy-duty magnetic coupling: Transfers torque without a mechanical seal, reducing wear and extending pump life.
  • Brushless DC permanent magnet motor: Improves efficiency, reduces maintenance needs, and extends service life up to 40,000 hours.
  • De-ionised water compatible (optional): Suitable for de-ionised water with anodised head upgrade for corrosion protection.
  • Multiple control options: Compatible with PWM, CAN, or standalone operation for flexible integration with existing systems.
  • Corrosion-resistant construction: Protects against long-term degradation in varied coolant environments.
  • Flexible mounting options: Can be installed in multiple orientations for greater packaging flexibility.
  • Run-dry protection: Prevents damage during low or no coolant flow conditions.
  • EMC certified: Ensures compliance with electromagnetic compatibility standards.
  • Multiple pump operation on single CAN network: Allows for networked control of multiple pumps in complex cooling systems.
