Following two successful years of cooperation, Grayson Thermal Systems and Smiles Engineering are continuing their collaboration.

Grayson Thermal Systems, manufacturers of engine cooling, heating and air conditioning systems, announced the continuation of its collaboration with Smiles Engineering, specialist engine remanufacturer based in Newcastle, which commenced after signing a partnership agreement at Euro Bus Expo 2012.

Smiles will continue to act as Grayson’s northern service facility and install Grayson’s E-drive systems alongside engine repower retrofits. Since the two companies joined forces, Smiles has fitted over 100 of Grayson’s E-Drive systems to customers in the North East of England.

Grayson Thermal Systems’ energy saving E-Drive cooling system is reducing operators’ fuel bills by up to 15%. The system replaces the original cooling system to give operators a high level of control over fan speed and temperature. With Grayson’s system, the fans only need to be operated on full power when conditions demand it. Emissions and noise levels are also significantly reduced.

Commenting on the Grayson/Smiles partnership, Rob Pease, General Manager for Smiles Engineering said: “For over two years, Grayson have been working with Smiles to supply cooling system solutions. In this time we have seen a vast improvement in the overall installation time and in service reliability of the Grayson E-Drive system compared to traditional cooling system options. “

“Our customers report substantial fuel savings and are pleased with the ease of cleaning and maintenance of the E-Drive system. We are delighted to say that our on-going partnership with Grayson is continuing to add both quality and value to our end product.”
