All-Electric Driver Cabin HVAC Unit

Designed to provide you with advanced windscreen defrost and demist, alongside superior cabin climate control, our All-Electric Driver Cabin HVAC unit keeps drivers comfortable while delivering outstanding efficiency.

Bringing together reversible heat pump technology for efficient heating in low ambient conditions with an integrated CAN J1939 controller, our plug-and-play solution can meet the HVAC needs of your bus, coach, off-highway or on-highway commercial vehicle.

Packaged into a single assembly are the electric compressor, heat exchangers, controller and complete refrigeration system. This complete assembly enables the system to be supplied pre-charged with gas, removing the need and cost of an F-gas qualified engineer to install and commission.

Configurable based on your vehicle and territory requirements, our All-Electric Driver Cabin HVAC unit is offered in heat pump-only mode or heat pump and air conditioning mode. Featuring integrated filters (and compatible with PEPA filters, if required), the system is also available in 100% fresh air mode, 100% recirculated air or a combination of both.

Our All-Electric Driver Cabin HVAC unit can deliver a coefficient of performance (COP) of 2.0 in -5°C ambient with 100% fresh air supply. 100% recirculated air provides a higher COP reducing energy consumption on your zero-emission vehicle platform.

We use high-quality copper round tube heat exchangers for long life and efficient reversible heat pump performance and can include up to 4kW of PTC heaters for low ambient heating and defrost (down to -15°C).

We know reducing vehicle downtime is critical in the field. Therefore, we have designed our electric HVAC unit for quick and efficient servicing during fleet operation. By holding a service exchange unit in stock, operators can save potentially hours of system maintenance on the vehicle (de-gas, service / repair, vac and re-gas etc.) by removing and replacing the unit within one hour. After the service exchange unit is quickly installed, repairs can be made off the vehicle at a depot with minimal operational downtime.
